[obelisk - writing above urn at top illegible] I[n] Remembrance of Catherine MILLIGAN his Spoufe who died 14th December 1825 aged 42 years And of his infant Twin Sons James MILLIGAN NIVEN and Patrick HANNAY NIVEN who died the former upon the 16th and the latter upon the 28th of the foresaid Month & Year, This tablet is inscribed by Andrew NIVEN in Portpatrick. The above named Andrew NIVEN died on 24th July 1862 aged 78 years Also Helen EMSLIE Spouse of the above who died the [4]th of November 1871 aged 76 years Also Alexander NIVEN son of the above who died 29th July 1882 aged 53 years Also Catherine daughter of the above who died 26th May 1893 aged [8]1 years Also William NIVEN their son who died 19th Sept 1897 aged 77 years [reverse] - - - - - - Ground contains 5 Graves on each side - - - [t]he Monument Sus[an] - - - - - wife of - - - - - - - - - - - who died 17th April 1906 - - - - - - - - - -years

Description:
Free standing obelix in four sections: tapered pillar with shield and urn; sill; rectangular memorial stone with inscriptions on east and west faces; plinth with foundation stones beneath.
